
EPA PARACHUTIST BADGE
All members of the European
Paratroopers Association can earn the European Wings (European Paratroopers Jump Badge) after completing the jumps.
A light blue wings with a white parachute in the center, which is surrounded on the base by twelve yellow stars, embroidered on a piece of black cloth represents this brevet. It is worn on the right sleeve of the jump uniform,
as well as on the right sleeve of the working or dress uniform.
Every parachutist needs to
complete:
3 (three) jumps, in order to be awarded the EPA parachutist wings (I level);
15 (fifteen) jumps in order to be awarded the EPA parachutist wings (II level);
35 (thirtyfive) jumps* in order to be awarded the EPA parachutist wings (III level).
*These jumps must include a night jump, a jump with full equipment, and a wather jump.
European Wings for beginners
The beginners, members of the European Paratroopers Association, can earn the European Wings after a period of intense theoretical and pratical training, at one of our basic airborne courses organized every year in several Parachutist School in Europe under the control of the European Paratroopers
Association’s Airborne Training Centre.
The members that have earned the European Wings are fully trained parachutists. This means, that they have all successfully completed the basic airborne training.
