From 16 to 18 July members of the European Paratroopers Association coming from 8 different countries (Czech, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, France, Italy and Greece) had a true exchange of Airborne experience and skills with JMs from Czech Republic, Portugal, Italy and US Army during our event in Czech Republic. Our members had the opportunity to do SL jumps out L-410 Turbolet airplane with military round parachutes.

On 17-20 June 12 active and retired soldiers coming from South Africa, USA, Great Britain, Ireland and Greece took part in our Basic Airborne Course in Czech Republic. They had an intensive prejump training, but for most of them, expert paratroopers it was just a refresh. After the training they jump out AN-2 airplane with OVP-68 round chute and at the end of the event were awarded Czech, Slovak and European Wings.

On 14-18 June a delegation of 10 members of our Association took part in the “PJE 2010” the annual parachute jump exercise organized by the Airborne Brigade 26 of German Army (LL Brig 26 -Saarland-). During the training week spent with the German Paratroopers in Saarlouis our comrades had the opportunity to jump with the T-10 parachute out C-160 Transall. Our guys were awarded German Wings.

Offered for the first time in Europe – the EPA’s Combat Training Center – conducted a Precision Rifle/Sniper Course in the Dolomite Mountains using our Mobile Training Team – MTT.
The course reserved to the active duty Military and Police operators focuses on the precision rifle techniques. Upon successful completion of all requirements students were awarded the Police Sniper Badge and Tab and U.S. Army Marksmanship Badge.

On 3-7 June the EPA’s Combat Training Center – conducted basic and advanced SWAT Courses in Thessaloniki/Greece using our Mobile Training Team – MTT.
The courses reserved to the SF of Greek Coast Guard focuses on the combat techniques and tactics of the SWAT Teams. Upon successful completion of all requirements students were awarded the SWAT Operator and Team Leader Badges and the Assault Rifle Badge.

On 12-17 May we have organized in Kiev/Ukraine a jump operation with the Ukrainian “Spetsnaz”. Our operation included D-1-5U static line descents from AN-2 and marksman test with Spetsnaz light arms (AK-74, SVD, PKM, etc.). According to the Ukrainian regulations our members were awarded Ukrainian parachutist badge. Beside the Ukrainian badge they were awarded also Russian and European parachutist badge.

From 1st to 4th April over 20 parachutists coming from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Great Britain and USA took part in the Operation Eastern Eagles 2010, our traditional international jump event in Czech Republic with JMs guest from Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine. Our members after an intensive prejump training had the opportunity to do the jumps out AN-2 airplane with OVP-68 military round parachute.

On 4th February 2010 a group of Italian policemen from "Guardia di Finanza” and "Carabinieri" of counterterrorism quick reaction force took part in the Combat Pistol Course organized in Italy by the Combat Training Center of our Association. The students was trained in basic and advanced combat pistol tactics and techniques.

Thanks to the Commander of 5150th Special Markmanship Unit of United States Army, last 12th January the Shooting Training Center of our Association had the opportunity to organize in Italy a training day to do the US Army Marksman Test. The training day was reserved to the Italian Reserve Officers Association. At the end of the day all the Officers and NCOs ware succesfully qualify for the US Army Pistol and Rifle Badges.

On 7-11 January we have run in Thessaloniki/Greece a SWAT training course reserved to the members of the Greek SF Reserve. During the course our Greek comrades have learned the combat techniques and tactics of the SWAT Teams and according to the US Police Force’s regulations, after have successfully completed the training, was qualifield for the prestigious SWAT Operator Badge.

Our Portuguese comrades invited us at the ETP the Portuguese Airborne School of Tancos to jump with them on 16-22 November during the 30th CIEP the Inter-Parachute School Challenge. During the event our members had the opportunity to do the jumps with the aerazur parachute out Casa C-295 aircraft and were awarded Portuguese parachute wings by the Commander of the Airborne School.

On 7-11 November we have organized for the first time in Europe a SWAT course with an active duty SWAT instructor from a United States Police Department. During the course our members have learned the combat techniques of active SWAT Teams and according to the USA Police Force’s regulations, after have successfully completed the training, was qualifield for SWAT Operator Badge.

From 5th to 9th October a USPD SWAT Team was trained by the Chief Instructor of the EPA’s Shooting Training Center at a US Army National Guard facility. The students was trained in Bus and vehicle assaults, combat pistol tactics and techniques, building clearing drills, tactics and techniques and rifle tactics. This training took place during night and day and was conducted in full gear at all times.

At the beginning of September over 20 parachutists of 9 different countries took part to our Operation Eastern Wings. Our comrades of German Airborne Brigade had invited us to take part in the
"Fallschirmsprungwoche 2009", the annual jump exercise organized by the LL
Brig 26 -Saarland-. During the week our members had
the honor to do the FF jumps together with
the Brigade Commander, Brig. Gen. Volker Bescht and the opportunity to do the marksman test. They
were awarded German Army wings and
marksmanship lanyard.

From 12 to 14 June, like every year, we have organized the Friendship Jump, our traditional jump meeting at our Airfield in Fermo/Italy. During the event over 20 paratroopers from 3 different Countries (Italy, Ukraine and USA) had the opportunity
to jump with our JMs guests from US Army 173D Airborne Brigade Combat Team
and was awarded with Italian, US Army and European Wings.

From 22 to 24 May we have organized a jump event in Czech Republic with JM teams from the 1th VPK of Czech Army, the Slovakian Army Airborne Battalion, the Polish Army 6th Air Assault Brigade and the US Army 173rd Airborne Brigade.
During the event over 40 jumpers from 8 different Countries have done more than 100 SL jumps with the OVP-68 chute and was awarded with Czech, Slovak, Polish, US Army and EPA Wings.

From 14 to 19 April we had have at our Airborne Training Centre in Fermo/Italy a one week basic airborne course to give those of our members who haven't yet joined an airborne course the opportunity to qualify as military parachutists. According to the Italian Army’s regulations, participants awarded official Italian parachutist badge.

From 30.01.09 to 01.02.09 and from 27.02.09 to 01.03.09 over 20 parachutists coming from Italy, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Portugal and Slovakia were in Czech Republic for our winter jump training. We have had the very bad weather conditions especially on the first weekend but at last we had succesfully accomplished the mission. Our comrades were awarded Czech, Slovak, Polish and European Wings.

From 7th to 9th November 2008 we have organized in cooperation with the IAO the Operation “Adriatic Friendship”. During the event over 30 jumpers coming from 8 different Countries (Italy, Croatia, Germany, Portugal, Canada, Ireland, USA and United Kingdom) have done 64 SL jumps and 12 FF jumps. The jumpers were awarded Italian, Croatian, US Army and European Wings.

From 17th to 20th July 2008 we have organized in Italy the Operation “Nembo”, military ceremony and jumps in celebration of the 64° anniversary of Battle of Filottrano and 65° anniversary of 183° “Nembo” Parachute Regiment. During the event our members have done also a water jump on the Adriatic sea. All the jumpers were awarded Italian and European Wings.

Last 17th and 18th May a group of paratroopers of our Association took part in the “Marche de L’Armée 2008” the annual march event organized by the Luxembourg Army in Diekirch/Luxembourg. After completed the two days march our comrades were awarded the March Medal.

On 1th December 2007 and 26th January 2008 paratroopers from 187th and 8th “Folgore” Parachute Regiment took part in the Combat Shooting Test organized in Italy by the Shooting Training Center of our Association. Thanks to CPT Wojciech Wilowski, Officer of 1th Parachute Squadron (Volunteers) of LFVR/MAB the shooters had the opportunity to earn the LFVR Marksman Badge.

Last March a group of our members from Royal Netherlands Air Force have spent some days in Italy jumping in the Airfield of Fermo with our comrades of ANPd’I Ancona to earn the Italian Parachutist Wings. After the jumps the Dutch parachutists have also received the European Wings.

Thanks to MSGT Michael Del Soldato, Combat Arms Instructor of 152nd Security Force Squadron of United States Air Force, last 27th and 28th March we had the great opportunity to do in Naples/Italy the USAF Marksman Test and to earn the Small Arms Expert Ribbon shooting with M4 Rifle and M9 Pistol.

Two members of our Association, our President Giulio Festa and our comrade Valentino Minozzi had a call of duty in the “Folgore” Airborne Brigade as reserve soldiers. During the four months of duty thay had the opportumity to do different jumps and training with their comrades of the Brigade.

From 30 September to 1 October 2006 we have organized in Italy the Friendship Jump 2006, the international jump meet with guests from NATO countries’ armed forces. For who haven't yet joined the airborne course the Friendship Jump was a great opportunity to qualify as “military” parachutists and to earn the Italian Wings and much more…

Last 26-27 August 2006 we have offered to our members a water jump training exercise with round canopy systems with automatic opening. The participants had a very exciting experience jumping on the Mediterranean Sea and very good time visiting the beautiful places of Italian Adriatic Coast.

Last May 2006 we had the honor to take part in the 50° Anniversary of the Portuguese Paratroopers in the Airborne School of Tancos. During the event our delegation had the opportunity to do the marksman test and to earn the Portuguese Wings jumping with the Portuguese Army Sport Team the “Falcos Negros”.

Our friends of Portuguese Army invited us at the ETAT the Portuguese Military Airborne School of Tancos to take part in the 59^ Paratroopers Fest. Our visit included aerazur static line descents from C-212 Casa. According to the Portuguese Army’s regulations, EPA paratroopers were awarded Portuguese parachute wings by the Commander of the “Escola de Tropas Aerotransportadas”.

Last October our Czech comrades of 1° VPK gived us the opportunity to train and jump with them at the airfield of Pribram to earn the Czech Army Parachute Badges. The training included static line descents with the Czech Army parachute OVP-68/76A from Antonov AN/2 airplane, our members were also awarded the Slovak Army Parachutist Badges.
